Parents, ever wonder how to display all that wonderful artwork your kids bring home at the end of the school year? The mom of one of my students shared this great idea with me (thank you, Molly Craig!) and it’s so clever I had to pass it along! She created a “hallway gallery” for her son’s artwork, which can be easily changed as often as they like. This simple hanging system (originally designed for curtains) came from IKEA! It’s inexpensive, adjustable to whatever length you need, and easy to mount in any room. Small stainless steel clips hold any size 2D artwork, so you can change your display with the seasons or as new artwork comes home. This could have potential beyond the home, too… maybe in your art room or for your next art show?

Hi! I'm Cheryl, and I'm a big fan of kids' artwork! For the last 20+ years, I've had the privilege of teaching art to kids from kindergarten through high school.... in public, private, charter, and homeschool settings. Now I'm focusing on mentoring other teachers through demos, workshops, and sharing lessons and more on my blog. I have a degree in art and an art ed credential, but I've learned that you don't need to be an "artist" or have an art background yourself to teach art to kids. All you need are good lessons to follow (like following a recipe) and the willingness to have fun! Over the years, I’ve developed hundreds of successful, classroom-tested art lessons for kids, and all the tips, methods, and strategies to go along with them! My passion now is to make all this available to classroom teachers, homeschool teachers, parents, and grandparents.… to anyone who wants to share the joy of ART with the kids in their life!
