If you’re looking for alternatives to screentime for your kids, nothing beats going “old school” with a pencil and paper! It’s amazing how much fun can be had with such simple supplies.
What you’ll need
All you need is a pencil, some paper, a flat surface to draw on, and my free download, “5 FUN Art Activities Kids Can Do with a Pencil & Paper”. An eraser can also be helpful, but it’s totally optional for these easy activities!
In my free download
My free download offers 5 fun activities that only require a pencil and paper. These drawing activities make an ideal alternative to screen time and require zero prep. Any size paper will work! With simple directions, these ideas are perfect for passing the time when you just have a few minutes to spare. Or, use them for stand-alone drawing lessons to last an entire class period. Then, add color with markers or colored pencils, if you like!
What else you’ll get
When you sign up for this free download, you’ll also be added to the Teach Kids Art email list. Then, on the first Monday of every month you’ll receive my TIP of the Month with a helpful tip for teaching art to kids. You’ll also get special access to my password-protected “TIP Vault”, where you can see all my previous tips from earlier emails.
My goal is to help you share the JOY of ART with the kids in your life. I promise to respect your inbox and only send you my very best ideas and insights! Your information is 100% secure and will never be shared with anyone. You can unsubscribe at any time. I hope to see you there!
