A Podcast Just for Art Teachers

When I discover something new that I really love, I have to share it! Whether it’s my new YETI tumbler that keeps my tea hot (or cold) all day or my Pentel Water Brush that I’m currently having a blast with, I tell everyone. There’s just something in me that has to share good things with others.

So after listening to the first eight episodes of Patty Palmer’s new podcast, Art Made Easy, I’m really excited to spread the word!

You probably already know Patty Palmer as the founder of the wildly successful art ed website, Deep Space Sparkle. In her latest venture, Patty is creating podcasts on art ed related topics that she shares every Wednesday. If you have an interest in art education for whatever the reason, you owe it to yourself to check these out. Here’s the review I wrote for Art Made Easy on iTunes:

“If you have an interest in teaching art to kids in any capacity (parent, grandparent, homeschool teacher, classroom teacher, retired art teacher, or just considering becoming an art teacher) this weekly podcast is for you! Each episode of Art Made Easy gives you helpful tips and practical ideas that you can apply to your teaching right away, along with links to products, websites, videos, and even some free worksheet downloads. These podcasts are produced with the same high quality and attention to detail that has made Patty’s website, Deep Space Sparkle, such a huge success. Whether it’s a conversation with another art ed superstar (like Jessica Balsley, Laura Lohmann, or Cassie Stephens), or Patty sharing her own expertise on a specific art ed topic, I’ve learned something valuable from every episode. If you share my passion for art education, I think you’ll love these podcasts, too!”

If you’re not already on the podcast bandwagon, a podcast is like listening to an audiobook on your computer or smartphone, but in this case they’re less than an hour long…. perfect for listening to while driving to work or on errands, taking a walk, working in the yard, cleaning the house, exercising, you name it. Once you get hooked, you’ll be surprised by how many opportunities you find for listening to podcasts…. especially when they’re as relevant, helpful, and interesting as this.

And did I mention this podcast is free??? Subscribe to Art Made Easy on iTunes (or on Stitcher for Android) so you’ll never miss a single one. And while you’re there, be sure to leave a review to let Patty know how much her podcast is appreciated. I think you’ll find yourself looking forward to each new episode, just like I do.

*  I was not asked to review this podcast or compensated for expressing my opinion about it… I just like to share good things.

Update! Since writing this post, The Art of Ed has two podcasts now, too…. Art Ed Radio, which is geared toward Middle School and High School Art teachers (and art education in general), and Everyday Art Room for elementary Art teachers, hosted by the one and only Cassie Stephens. Both are top notch, just like everything from the Art of Ed. You can learn more here.
