The New “Google Art Project”

The State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow
Okay, you need to drop whatever you’re doing right now and visit the “Google Art Project”This site is an absolute “must see” for anyone who is interested in art of any kind…. and you obviously are, or you wouldn’t be reading this blog!  The Google Art Project (or “GAP” for short) is Google’s “street view” taken into some of the most highly acclaimed museums in the world.  This amazing site will allow you to take a virtual tour through one of 17 museums (I’m hoping they will add even more in the future!) or view individual artworks and zoom in to get a closer look than you could if you were there in person.

Choose your museum and have fun exploring!

Close-up detail view of Vincent Van Gogh’s painting, “The Bedroom”, from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam…. I told you this site was cool!
